Sometimes, if you install a font via some other program, or if you install it without administrative privileges, the font goes to a user folder: C:\Users\ Your Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts. The string, position, character spacing, font file to be used, etc. That's a complicated problem, but I can tell you that there is another folder that Windows gets fonts from. I can then mouse over to the laptop screen and use the menu, but obviously this is not a good way to use a program. Specify the Times New Roman font file 'times.ttf' that you have prepared. When I then reconnect the external screen and move FreeCADlink.exe back to the external screen, all UI items (icons, fonts etc.) are very big. OS: Windows 8 (actually 10) Word size of OS: 64-bit. Note: Several of the those font files missing from the list do not work properly. Perhaps others will find this useful as well. When I disconnect the external screen, all windows go back onto the laptop screen and get rescaled to look about right there. The default file names are not so descriptive. When I open FreeCADlink.exe (Daily 2021.02.05 release) on the external screen, the UI font size is really tiny and fuzzy, unlike other programs, but just readable. I recently added a 34" screen to my workplace so I have more screen real estate for FreeCAD than the 1920x1080 on my external laptop screen.
